Elephant art

My mom sent me a link to this video, and I had to find out more. You can look on this website for more information. They sell these paintings in order, supposedly, to raise money for protecting the elephants, but I imagine they go pretty quick. It's pretty incredible, but I'm not sure to what extent it's actually a "self-portrait" as described. Although, apparently elephants are some of the only animals (also including apes, dolphins and humans) that we know can recognize themselves in a mirror (source). There was a fascinating article about animal intelligence in a recent National Geographic magazine. (In fact, National Geographic has posted a very interesting video about elephants on their website as well, which you can see here, and which I highly recommend watching after watching the video below).
