Yesterday I went to a game of the Atlanta Dream! Below, "Atlanta Dream players Katie Feenstra (6-foot-8) and Ivory Latta (5-foot-6) model the new uniforms to be worn by Atlanta's WNBA franchise" (source).

They didn't win, but it was very close (85-81), against the Minnesota Lynx, who are undefeated this season. I'm very optimistic! I went with a friend and we were just so excited, trying to imagine what it would have been like growing up with professional basketball stars that were women.
I was for Obama all along, but it still stings a bit that we are not going to have a female presidential candidate. This helps!

The Dream doth surely rock.
I think Obama will be a good candidate. However,i have to say, throughout the primary, Clinton had to endure a level of scrutinizing that i don't think any other presidential hopeful in the history of this country has had to. --Sadly, i think it was because she was a woman and she was Bill Clinton's wife. I admire her.I think she would have been a good candidate, shes an extremely savvy politician, but her campaign wasn't run the best...its just sad so much of the focus, in the news , was on trivialities associated with her , rather than the issues and her experience..anyone running against her came out smelling like a rose- so to me its not a shock that Obama is the candidate. It will be interesting to see what he can deliver - it nice in some senses he is relatively untainted by the system--I wish him well in trying to implement change..we need it.
Anyone is a sure shot better than McCain.
