Badin Lake

September 2007. The last photos taken of me and by me as a twenty-something.
Enjoy, for there will be no more. These were taken at Badin Lake, NC.

Here is a little pier that can be used for fishing when the water isn't so low because of drought and overuse that the shoreline has receded to beyond it.

A view of the treetops.

A lovely view even in drought.

Mom was kind enough to take my photo. I didn't notice all the dead trees in the background until now. I would crop them out, but I like the weird feeling it lends. Maybe they are supposed to be underwater, too.

Mom and Richard at the lake.

Richard and the lake.

Just Richard.
