ps-what's going on today?!

Well, I've posted the article below about the Climate Change focus in the UN General Assembly today, and how, alarmingly but not surprisingly, Arnold Schwarzenegger is the lone voice of reason from the United States.

In addition:

-- tens of thousands of monks are part of a crowd 100,000 strong protesting in Myanmar today, and although the government is has kept out of it thus far due presumably to pressure from China, who doesn't want to look bad before the Olympics in Beijing, it seems only a matter of time (photos, story)

-- Iranian president Ahmadinejad is speaking at Columbia University amid scores of protesters (source), and I am freaking out, although my dad would be proud, because I agree with Michelle Malkin

-- GM workers are going on strike after talks stall between GM and the UAW (source)

-- although the United States government desperately needs a budget passed before the new fiscal year begins 01 October, Bush is saying that he will veto any legislation that spends more than he wants to spend, since those pesky democrats keep insisting on spending for education, health care and veterans programs (source)

-- and it's 50 years since the Little Rock Nine first entered Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas (source).

big day, I guess.
