thoughts for today-o

(into the mind of an amateur schizo)

i saw a squirrel today. he was perched on an ash tray eating a french fry. i wondered, what is the junk food doing to the wild, rodent-like creatures?

on my way to school today i was stopped at a stoplight and i leaned down to look at a bump on my leg. i thought to myself, "what if i don't see that i'm actually rolling into the intersection? what if i then get hit by oncoming traffic and die? will witnesses say, i saw her in the car, then she leaned over to do something, who knows what? i couldn't figure it out. then no one would ever know, coz i'd be dead."

caribou coffee in emory village is closed. as of this week. i've been going to starbucks for a while now anyway. i'd feel bad, coz starbucks put another coffee shop out of business, but last i checked, caribou was the second largest chain anyway, so in that way, starbucks is just the greater of two evils, i suppose. and my latte is really good, as usual. oh, that reminds me, i saw an article in the BASTION of good newspaper reporting, USA TODAY, where george ritzer used the term "Starbucksization". other sociologists will probably get a kick out of that. it makes me roll my eyes every time i think of it. i tried to explain the joke to my parents who just gave me blank looks.

i bought a book of easy sudoku this weekend. i like it. it's easy.

i'm getting ready to code satellite radio press releases, which makes me feel like i'm going to die.

i was in the grocery store today and the cashiers were speaking to each other in a different language and i had an embarassingly non-liberal thought. i'll say no more.

i can't listen to my ipod coz i'm at school charging the batteries, but here's what i was listening to earlier.
